About Cornerstone Consulting Inc.
Cornerstone Consulting Inc. is an Alberta-based enterprise architecture and transformation advisory firm helping executives, CIOs, sponsors, and architecture leaders reduce transformation risk, strengthen architecture governance, and align strategy with execution.
Cornerstone has been providing independent, customer-side advisory for organizations undertaking complex ERP, SAP, Oracle, digital transformation, and enterprise modernization initiatives since 2010. Its role is to help leaders see risks, dependencies, trade-offs, architectural impacts, and decision implications before they become expensive commitments. Cornerstone positions itself as a confidence layer for executive sponsors and architecture leaders, independent from implementation partners and focused on protecting business outcomes.
Led by Darin Paton, Cornerstone brings more than 25 years of experience across enterprise architecture, business architecture, ERP transformation, governance, operating model alignment, and executive advisory. The firm helps organizations translate strategic intent into practical architecture, governance, roadmap, and delivery choices that teams can execute with clarity and discipline.
Cornerstone’s approach is practical, independent, and outcome-focused. Rather than adding unnecessary bureaucracy, Cornerstone helps organizations establish the right level of architecture structure, decision discipline, standards, guardrails, and governance to improve delivery outcomes while keeping momentum.
At its core, Cornerstone exists to help leaders make better transformation decisions. The firm supports clients by clarifying what must be true, what risks need to be addressed, what decisions must be governed, and how business, data, application, security, integration, and technology choices need to align to achieve measurable business value.
